Conference Venue

Plain Green 10 will be held at the Washington Pavilion of Arts and Science at 301 South Main Avenue in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

The Pavilion, once Sioux Falls High School, is now the region’s finest arts and science center, featuring museums, classrooms, performances, the CineDome theater, Leonardo’s Cafe, the Discovery Store and the breathtaking Great Hall–all under one historic roof.

The Pavilion is nestled in the heart of historic Downtown Sioux Falls, surrounded by local shops, restaurants, parks and public art. Get here easily by foot, bike, bus, trolley or car. Find specific directions below.

For lodging, we recommend Holiday Inn City Centre, just three blocks down the street from the Washington Pavilion at 100 West 8th Street in Sioux Falls.

Arriving from the North or South

  1. From I-29, take exit 79 for 12th Street.
  2. Head east on 12th Street toward Downtown/Washington Pavilion.
  3. 12th St. becomes 11th St. (a one-way street heading East).
  4. Turn right onto Main Avenue (one way heading South).
  5. Washington Pavilion is at corner of 11th Street and Main Avenue

Arriving from the East

  1. From I-90, take exit 400 for I-229 South.
  2. From I-229, take exit 6 for 10th Street.
  3. Head east on 10th Street toward Downtown/Washington Pavilion.
  4. Turn left onto Main Avenue (one way heading South).
  5. Washington Pavilion is at corner of 11th Street and Main Avenue

Arriving from the West

  1. From I-90, take exit 396A for I-29 South.
  2. From I-29, take exit 79 for 12th Street.
  3. Head east on 12th Street toward Downtown/Washington Pavilion.
  4. 12th St. becomes 11th St. (a one-way street heading East).
  5. Turn right onto Main Avenue (one way heading south).
  6. Washington Pavilion is at corner of 11th Street and Main Avenue

From the Sioux Falls Airport (FSD)

  1. Leave airport heading south (only exit from terminal and car rental) merging with N Minnesota Avenue
  2. Turn left at 11th Street (a one-way street heading East)
  3. Turn right onto Main Avenue (one way heading South).
  4. Washington Pavilion is at corner of 11th Street and Main Avenue

Parking

Parking at meters, public ramps and lots in downtown Sioux Falls is free after 5 p.m. weekdays. Some meters surrounding the Washington Pavilion are programmed for four hours and cost 40-cents per hour.

Parking is now available on the top of the public ramp at 12th Street and Main Ave–just across the street from the Pavilion. Use the 13th Street entrance to enter the top floor of the ramp. General fee for parking is $3 paid as you enter. Accessible Parking can be found on 11th Street and Main Ave as well as the public parking ramp at 12th Street and Main Ave.
