Biography

Jeff Scherschligt, CPCU is an insurance man with a passion for development. He graduated from the College of Insurance in 1977 and has been pursuing the exciting field of insurance ever since, serving as president since 1985.

In 2004, in search of a new home for Howalt-McDowell, he stumbled upon the Zip Feed Mill site. Enamored by the challenge, he decided this is where his company would be located. You know the rest.

Jeff is very involved in the community, serving integral roles in organizations such as the United Way, Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation, Mary Jo Wegner Arboretum and the Washington Pavilion. In his free-time, Jeff enjoys hunting, nature conservation and spending time with his wife, 2 daughters, son-in-law and granddaughter.
