Biography

Erica Beck is the Senior Planner with the City of Sioux Falls Planning Office. In 2008 she assisted with development and launching the Mayor’s Leading Green Initiative.

Erica has over five years of experience working with local governments in South Dakota, including the First District Association of Local Governments in Watertown. She has been employed with the City of Sioux Falls for just over three years, including two years as an Urban Planner, specializing in Downtown Development and Historic Preservation. As Senior Planner, her focus has broadened and includes current and long range planning, downtown development, neighborhood development, historic preservation, visual arts, transportation planning, public transportation, economic development, and the administration of various city facilities including the Arena, Orpheum Theater Center, Convention Center, Washington Pavilion, and Airport Authority.

Erica and her husband, Ivan, live in Sioux Falls with their two children.
